On October 12, Oppo Find N3 Flip made its debut in India. The device is a durable, elegant foldable phone with a striking design and respectable camera skills. It provides a fluid performance, reliable battery life, and a flexible display configuration. It’s a good option for people who value cutting-edge design and trustworthy daytime photography, even though there is space for improvement in terms of the pre-installed apps and low-light camera performance.

The phone has been launched at Rs 94,999 for the 12GB+256GB variant. Buyers will get to choose between two colours- cream and black. That said, I have been using the Oppo Find N3 Flip since a week. Here is a quick summary of my experience with it.

1. Elegant and durable design: The Oppo Find N3 Flip has an attractive design. It is small, svelte, and luxurious to hold. Its appearance is made more attractive by the glass back and metal frame. I had to be careful handling it because of the glass back, which makes it a little slippery. Although it protrudes somewhat and wobbles when placed on a surface, the round camera module, which is comparable to Hasselblad branding, gives it a distinctive appearance. I found the Cream color option to be my favorite among this phone’s outstanding overall appearance.

2. Dual Displays: The phone has two displays, one on the outside and one within. The cover screen is visible and readable and has a 17:9 aspect ratio. Without accessing the primary display, it’s a convenient way to check emails and messages. The main panel is a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 1600 nits. The screen is still clearly viewable in direct sunlight. Your experience watching videos is improved by the extended shape. When you lift the device, the always-on function on the cover screen shows the time.

3. Dependable Performance: The Oppo Find N3 Flip’s MediaTek 9200 engine, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage provide power. I didn’t experience any performance problems during the week I used it. It was easy to use the phone’s navigational features, launch apps, and play games. There were no observable lags, which made gaming more fun. The haptic feedback on this phone really caught my attention; it’s wonderfully balanced, neither too strong nor too weak.

4. Effective Battery Life: Due to the twin displays and always-on feature, I had my doubts about the battery life at first. But I was pleasantly impressed by the Find N3. Even with my normal activities like video streaming, gaming, and social media use, I easily got through more than a day on a single charge. The 4300mAh battery turned out to be quite dependable. It can charge up to over 50% in under 30 minutes with a 44W charger, which is remarkable. Charging is also no slouch.

5. Camera Capabilities: The phone is equipped with three camera sensors: a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 32-megapixel portrait camera. This phone excels at daytime photography. The images taken in daylight are precise, clear, and authentic. The 5X telephoto lens is good for obtaining close-ups from a distance, and skin tones are faithfully reproduced. This camera can be used in a variety of settings. Night photographs come out excellent, and what stands out is how quickly it can be done compared to many other phones. The ability to use the 50-megapixel primary camera as a selfie camera when using the cover screen is a cool feature; it’s a handy choice, especially when you don’t want to open the phone for a fast snapshot.
